Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer recognized for his distinct blend of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway through the Democratic National Convention to the European party and concert scenes. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta her roots are in Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing and playing the piano in the church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B entertainment scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You the House, is only available in Japan. It's been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay in her live performance. The singer also contributed her voice on the soundtrack to The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who performed on stage in the production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007 approached her to be the choral leader for the stage production. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention through four performances a day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
