Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She is currently the president as the president of Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss, a Californian native was raised with an impressive background. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon before becoming the owner of Lakers as well as other companies. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972, she began to feel as if she was abandoned. In 1972, at age 19, she began working in the family business. Then she founded an organization called the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice president for the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013 and his controlling ownership of the Lakers was passed on to Buss as well as her siblings through a family trust that gave each sibling the same vote. She assumed her duties as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based within Los Angeles.
