Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude is an Canadian actress best famous for the fantasy television series Shadowhunters on Freeform and the Venevision television series Cosita linda and Voltea Pa' Te Enamores. A dancer and model by trade, Toubia has also achieved success in both fields. Montreal born, she lived her early years in Texas. As a kid, she had been trained in a variety of dance styles. When she was 15 years old, she began competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained a lot of attention in 2008, as she appeared in Season 2 of Univision beauty pageant show Nuestra Belleza Latina. She was in 2010 as the receptionist of Telemundo television show Aurora. In 2015 she starred in her first feature film, an action drama called Tattooed Love. In the film, for her role in Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017. She also won in 2018.
